HDMI display issue

Hey,
I just wanted to try out Neptune so I installed it on my Laptop. During the boot first, the HDMI display goes on with a boot picture that is not filling the whole screen, after it goes off and the laptop screen goes on showing the boot picture not completely filling the screen, then it fills the whole screen. After booting, the OS does not see the second display, only the laptop screen. My laptop is having Intel onboard graphics card, as well as Nvidia. Any ideas? Would like to try out Neptune. other distros are having no issues with my hardware.

I tried now couple of distros more and I see this issue is present in several of them. No issued are having Mint and Kubuntu.

I guess you need to install bumblebee for the nvidia chip to work fine with the Intel chip.

Just tried it out. Several messages about missing firmware, also bad return status for module build kernel. I tried to install 5.19 kernel. Same issue. 🙁

I disabled nouveau driver and installed current Nvidia driver. Now only hdmi display os showing the picture. But also the laptop screen is on with black screen and I'm not able to switch the displays.

On Distrowatch one guy is having the same problem wrote also:

The only problem is current nvidia-dkms breaks with 6.0 linux kernel for the moment. Well, i just need to wait for update. I hope developer team makes its own tools like mx-tools as this distro gets more recognation in future

w202mg Ja das Problem ist wirklich der neuere Kernel klappt nicht ganz mit dem proprietären Nvidia Treiber und bumblebee klappt nicht mit modernen Nvidia Karten. Da bleibt nur der ältere Kernel und proprietäre Treiber als Lösung. Ich hoffe das klappt bei dir damit.

Scheint ein globales Problem zu sein. Hier gibt es wohl eine Loesung. Leider nix fuer meine Kenntnisse. Aber ich schaue weiter.
